Easter at Redeemer Church

Easter is soon approaching, and we’re excited to celebrate Jesus’ victory over sin and death!

As a church, we will be joining together with churches from across Chester-le-Street this year, to mark the death and resurrection of Jesus together, and to reflect upon what this means for each one of us personally.

As well as joining in with the Good Friday Walk once more, we will also be gathering for Lent meetings throughout March. Easter Sunday will also see the return of our much-loved Easter family service, which we’re really looking forward to!

All of the details for these different events are listed below. We’d love for you to join us during this season of reflection and celebration, and we hope to see you at some of them!

Easter Dates:

Lent Meetings – Thursday evenings from 7:30pm-8:30pm, at The Salvation Army building (Low Chare). These will be taking place on the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th of March.

Good Friday Walk – Friday 10th April. Setting off from St Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church (Ropery Lane) at 11:00am and ending in the market place with a short 20 minute service.

Other Dates:

Looking further ahead, from Friday 29th May until Saturday 30th May (7:00pm-7:00pm) Chester-le-Street Churches Together will be hosting 24 hours of prayer at the Parish Centre (Church Chare), ending with a joint celebration taking place at 6:00pm on the Saturday.

More information about the different prayer slots available during the event will be provided soon. Keep an eye on this website and on our social media channels for updates.
