FIGHT CLUBS

In addition to our Community Groups, everyone who attends Redeemer Church is also encouraged to join a Fight Club.

Formed organically through friendships, the idea of these groups is for 2-3 persons of the same gender to meet together regularly to build up and encourage one another in their faith, and to share what they are struggling with. This allows a safe space where we can be truly honest with how we are doing with life, and allow those we trust to help and challenge us to become more like Jesus. The purpose of fight clubs is to “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12) by confessing sin and speaking the good news of the Gospel of Jesus to one another.

Fight Clubs can take any form, and can be built around the preferences of those in the group. To get the most out of them, however, each group is encouraged to base their meetings around reading the bible together, and praying for one another.

Fight Clubs can be formed out of pre-existing close friendships, but they are also a great opportunity to develop new friendships.

If you’d like to be in a fight club, why not start one yourself? If you don’t know who to ask though, you can speak to one of the Wider Leadership Team, or send us an email at info@redeemercls.com.
