SUNDAYS

Sundays

The best way to find out more about us is to come along and meet us in person!

We meet together at Park View School (North Lodge) near Birtley on Sunday mornings. Our service starts at 10.30am and lasts for around 75 minutes. We have a time of worship led by one of our gifted worship-leaders, information about life around the church, family news, a bible-based message and a time of prayer. Youth and Children are catered to on a Sunday morning too, with Kid’s groups and teaching during the sermon.

The service itself is informal and relaxed, and we gather together people from various backgrounds and ages, and at different stages of their journey with Jesus. No matter where you are in your faith, or what questions you have, you are welcome here! Our friendly welcome team are always on hand to point you in the right direction, and to introduce you to people.

Each service starts with a lively time of worshipping God through song, during which time we welcome people to bring contributions from the front as God leads them

This is followed by a teaching from the Bible of around 30 minutes, when the children go next door for separate groups. We have a fantastic team of adults who provide biblical teaching, mixed with lots of fun, for children and youth, divided into different age groups. For more information about this, see our Children & Youth page.

Each week, the meeting usually then finishes with a time of response to the Bible teaching through more sung worship and prayer. We also have a dedicated prayer ministry team who are available to speak to during this time if you wish to receive prayer and support for anything.

However, our time together as family doesn’t end there! We also enjoy a shared lunch together regularly after our service, which is a great chance to meet new people.

We believe that church is a community of people who don’t just meet on Sunday mornings, but who share their lives with each other. As well as our Sunday morning meetings, we have recently been away to Alnmouth together and we also meet regularly during the week in-person and over Zoom. More details about this can be found in the Get Involved section of our website.

Please note: We want our church to be a welcoming environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can feel and be safe. In order to ensure this, photography or recording of meetings is not permitted without prior consent. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
